Chapel services were held Sunday, April 22 at the Wilson Funeral Home with the Rev. Willis Guess officiating. Burial was in Christian Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John King, Bill King, Ken Walker, Don Walker, Mike Genthon and Ron Gaylord. Honorary pallbearers were Ray King, Steve King, Bill Cloyd and Bob Hayes.
Mr. King was born May 10, 1895 in Madison County to the late Jimmy and Teresa King. He married Cora Tucker July 16, 1916 who preceded him in death. He married Hattie Genthon August 7, 1941 who survives.
Survivors include his wife, Hattie of Fredericktown; a daughter, Hazel LaPlant of Fredericktown; two sons, Buford King of Bonne Terre and Orville King of Boise, Idaho; four stepchildren, Norman Genthon, Nadine Walker, Delsie King and Alma Chappell; two brothers, Andrew King of Fredericktown and Josh King of St. Louis; two sisters, Alma Francis of Leadington and Lara Chapman of Jefferson City; five grandchildren, 20 step-grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.
Preceding in death were his parents; his first wife, Cora; five brothers; Eli, Sol, Cleve, Pinkley and John; four sisters, Alice, Emily, Dora and Flora.
Mr. King was a member of the Cedar Bottom General Baptist Church.
