Jennifer LeAnne Walton, 20, Columbus, Georgia, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2010. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Faith Tabernacle Community Church 1603 Floyd Road, Columbus, GA with the Reverend Melvin Perry, officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-7:00 PM Friday at the Funeral Home according to Hill-Watson Memorial Chapel. Ms. Walton was born July 26, 1990 in Columbus, Georgia to the late Leila Joyce Smith Walton and Horace Walton, Sr. Jennifer was a graduate of Kendrick High School, participating with the Marching Band, the Tennis Team, further studies included Ft. Valley State University Chorus BSU. At Ft. Valley she had a huge impact on people serving with the recruitment office assisting personnel and students. Jennifer latter attended Miller-Motte Technical College of Columbus majoring in Criminal Justice. Her career goal was to become an attorney. Ms. Walton was a member of Tabernacle of Praise and Deliverance Church, spirit filled Girl Scout Troop #385. She was predeceased by other than her mother, a brother Horace Walton, Jr. Survivors include her father, Horace Walton, Sr., Columbus, GA; sisters, Danita Walton, Columbus, GA and Ashley Dawson (Marvin), Bainbridge, GA; grandfather; Thomas Smith, Sr., Columbus, GA, nieces and nephews; Marcus Walton, Brandon Leonard, Marvin Dawson, Shayla Dawson, and Kayla Dawson; uncles Eddie Walton (Birdie) and Clifton Brown; aunts, Betty Louise (Major Floyd) Raven, Gwendolyn Walton, Christie Brown, several other relatives and friends.
