Boyd K. "Kay" Fraughton died peacefully at his home on October 7, 2010 while surrounded by his loving family.

Kay was born July 11, 1935 in Tabiona, Utah to Oral Stanley "Kay" Fraughton and Edna May Jones Fraughton.

Kay married the love of his life, Marlene Laycock Fraughton, on October 10, 1953 and they had fifty-seven wonderful years together.

Kay had a deep love for his family and the outdoors. He was a "Partner" to all and a true old school cowboy. Kay also had a love for his horses and prided himself on his horsemanship. He was an accomplished hunter and fisherman and all around outdoorsman. He spent many years raising and running hounds.

He always said what amazing people he had met through all of his loves and cherished the friendships he had made over the years. To know Kay is to love him. His charity and kindness to others had no boundaries. Kay had a deep love for the Gospel and held many positions in the LDS Church over the years.

Kay is survived by his wife, Marlene Laycock Fraughton, Kaylene (Alan) Sundquist, Dianne (Phil) Ortega, JoLene (Gene) Bernardo, Chad (Jenn) Fraughton; twenty-five grandchildren; and thirteen 1/2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Henry Sherman, and twin granddaughters, Cori Ann and Stephanie.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lindon Second Ward Chapel, 610 West 100 South, Lindon. Family and friends may attend a viewing on Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove, and at the Church on Monday one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Tabiona Red Cliff Cemetery, 3900 West 5000 North Tabby Lane, Tabiona, Utah.
