Benny Lee Frye Jr., a former resident of Atmore, died Saturday in a motorcycle accident in Huntsville. He was 33.

Frye, a resident of Huntsville, worked with FedEx as a quality assurance clerk.

He was a 1990 graduate of Escambia County High School and a 1996 graduate of Alabama A&M University.

Frye had been a member of Gaines Chapel AME Church in Atmore and was a member of Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Huntsville.

He was a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.

Survivors include his son, Sean Mycal Conyers of Huntsville; his mother, Ida L. Frye of Atmore; his fiancee, Sharmyne Williams of Huntsville; four brothers, Shacy M. Frye of Atlanta, Shelton Frye of Atmore, Nicholas Sharpe of Nashville, Tenn., and Wendell Ridgeway of Millbrook, Ala.; two sisters, Sandra V. Ridgeway-Hayes of Troy, and Brandi Williams-Frye of Tuscaloosa; and his grandmother, Clara B. English of Pensacola.

Viewing will be from 2:30 to 9 p.m. today at Turner Funeral Chapel in Atmore. Viewing will also be Saturday from noon until the 1 p.m. funeral at Greater Mount Triumph Baptist Church in Atmore. Burial will be in Stallworth Cemetery.
