Janie retired from RCA after many years. She worked at Rosie's Little Italy as a cook and as a member of the cleaning staff at Ambucare Clinic. Janie loved making pastries & cooking for family and friends. She was known for her famous macaroni and cheese and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Funeral Service are at 1 PM, Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main Street, Gas City, Indiana with nephew John Earnest officiating. Burial is in Marion National Cemetery.

sister, Ivadell Baker, Hartford City, IN; grandchildren, Timothy (Leigh) Earnest, Marion, IN, Mark (Katie) Earnest, Warsaw, IN, Adrienne (Todd) Holtzlander, Westerville, OH, and Daryl (Denise) Earnest, Columbus, OH; and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Sam, Russell & Ralph Secrest; and sisters, Ollie Odle & Dorothy Howell.
