Edna Mae "Babe" Tickel, 86 went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 8, 2010. She was born on March 5, 1924 to Frank and Margretha Copp in Walker Kansas. She graduated from nursing school in St. Joseph, Missouri and married Marland Tickel in 1944. She worked in the nursing field for many years, including the Ponca City Hospital. In 1965 she and her husband moved to Arkansas City, Kansas and operated their own business, Tickel Refrigeration. After the death of her husband in 1992 she moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marland Tickel and son, Stephen.

She is survived by three daughters, Kathleen and spouse, Ronald Michalski, Susan and spouse, John Kunkel and Cynthia and spouse, Gerald Motley; one Granddaughter, Regina Gibson and spouse, Jeff; and two Great Grandsons, Erik Gibson and Ryan Gibson. Babe also leaves behind her three sisters, Joyce Walters of Hays, Kansas, Mildred Sunstrum of Santee Califorina and Nadine Brungardt of Walker, Kansas. She will be missed by her family and many loving friends.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Grace Memorial Chapel with Father Schwarz officiating. She will be laid to rest in Parker Cemetery, Arkansas City, Kansas under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
