He retired from Lord Corp. in 1994, after 41 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Pearl Loomis.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Marjorie Churcher Pangborn; five sons, Ray Pangborn and his wife, Betty, Michael Coughlin and his wife, Bev, Lloyd "Buzz" Pangborn Jr., Thomas Pangborn and his wife, Gayle, and James Pangborn and his wife, Dena, all of Erie; two daughters, Karen Adams and her husband, Carl, of Ashtabula, Ohio, and Linda Schell and her husband, James, of Fairview; a brother, Clifton Pangborn of Warren, Pa.; a sister, Betty Bailey of Madison, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
