Mabel Elizabeth (Claunch) Abbott, 75, died at 8:30 AM Sunday, Nov. 7, 1975, at her Rt. 3 residence. Born in Burnside, KY, she was married to Coy Abbott in 1920; he survives. She spent most of her life in Carroll and Benton counties. She was a member of Delphi Christian Church.

Surviving with her husband are four sons, Coy Ray, Tillman, David and Arnold Abbott, all of Delphi; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Louise) Comer of Brookston, Mrs. Robert (Geneva) Dowell of Lafayette, and Mrs. Phil Stivers of Brookston; also 26 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son and a daughter. Service Nov. 9 at Delphi Christian Church, the Rev. Ray Nelson officiating; burial at Camden Cemetery.
