Victor Manuel Altamirano, age 51, died Aug. 19, 2007, in Prescott Valley, Ariz. He was born Nov. 8, 1955, in Luis B. Sanchez, Sonora, Km 57 (Mexico), to Hipolito Altamirano Bailon and Concepcion Hernandez Marin.
Victor is survived by his mother; wife, Raquel Altamirano Gonzalez; sons Victor Ivan Altamirano and Alan Altamirano and daughter, Stephanie Altamirano, all of Prescott Valley; brothers Miguel Altamirano of Mexicali, BC, Mexico, and Hector Raul Vasquez Hdz., Prescott Valley; sisters, Ivonne Vasquez Hdz., Mexicali, BC, Mexico, and Laura Vasquez Hdz., Mexicali, BC, Mexico.
Victor was preceded in death by his father; stepfather Raul Vasquez Castro; sister Patricia Lorena Vasquez; and daughter Joanna Michelle Altamrano.
Victor enjoyed fixing things, playing pool, watching TV, and worked as an installer for Dish Network.
Victor was a good man and a devoted father whose love was grand. He was a caring husband who loved his wife; they were together for 25 years. My dad taught us the importance of responsibility, to remember family and forget inabilities.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007, at Sunrise Funeral Home Chapel, 8167 E. Highway 69, in Prescott Valley, Ariz.
Commemoration Services in Victor's honor will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24, 2007, at Sunrise Funeral Home Chapel, with Father Albert Vazquez officiating.
Burial will follow the service at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, in Prescott, Ariz.
Arrangements entrusted to Sunrise Funeral Home.
