Marysville - Charles C. Carter, 65, died Thursday, June 25, 1992.
He was born Jan. 22, 1923, in St. Clair. He married Shirley Jardine July 30, 1966, in Richmond. She died in 1990.
Mr. Carter worked for St. Clair county. He retired in 1986. He retired in 1986. He served in the U, S, Navy 82nd Airborne Division during World WarII and had also served in the Merchant Marines. He was active in several community clubs and organozations and was a member of St. Paul Luthern Church in Port Huron. He wasone of the first set of triplets born in St. Clair County. He is survived by a daughter, Christy C. Carter of Marysville; two sons, Andrew M. and Charles W. Carter, both of Marysville; a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Stuart MacIntosh of Marysville; a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Sue Carter of Torch lake; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Paul and Mary Ellen Turner of Monroe; a brother-in-law, Ray Skuta of St. Clair; several nieces, nephews and many close friends.He was preceded in death by sisters, Nora, Emid and Edna and a brother, Nick.
Services are 10 a.m. Monday in St. Paul Lutheran Church. The Rev. Gerald Clark will officiate. Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery in Marysville.
Visiting is 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Young Colonial Chapel in St. Clair and 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the church.
Pallbearers are Steve and NIck Carter, Scott Turner, Bob Niebauer, Jack Treganowan and David, Matt and John Tovarez,. Honorary pallbearers are Paul Turner, Bill Carter, Steve Schoen, Don Mack, Jack Short, Ray Skuta, Mike Tovarez and Stuart MacIntosh.
Memorials may be made to the Shirley Carter Memorial Fund at Port Huron Hospital.
