CLINCHFIELD - Mike Junior McCook, age 81, of Clinchfield GA, passed away on Thursday, October 07, 2010 at the Heart of GA Hospice in Perry GA.

Mr. McCook, a native of Douglas GA was born March 03, 1929; he is the son of the late Elijah Junior and Nellie Pridgen McCook. He was a US Army Veteran, having served during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Fort Valley Church of Christ. Daughter, Mary Beth McCook preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Monday, October 11, 2010, with Entombment in the Dixie Mausoleum in the Douglas City Cemetery. Active pallbearers were: Greg Woodward, Keith Woodward, David McCook, Billy Joe Burke, George Burke and Clay Rucker. Full Military Honors were provided by Military Personnel from Fort Stewart GA at the Entombment.

Survivors include: Wife, Virginia McCook, Perry GA, Son, Michael David (Dale) McCook, Douglas GA, Stepdaughters, Sherry Rucker and Sheila (Clay) Rucker, Fort Valley GA, Stepson, David Self, Perry GA, Sisters, Waunelle Harper, Wray GA, and Myrtle Stevens, Douglas GA, Several Nieces and Nephews.
