Funeral services for Mrs. Helena Chapman Nutter, 61, of 983 Murdoch Av., who died Friday evening at her home following a long illness, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Emmanuel Baptist Church. The Rev. John Keck will officiate and burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
She was born March 5, 1910 in Mason county, daughter of the late Howard and Blanche Haynes Chapman. She was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, and had been a Nurses Aide in Parkersburg for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Frank P. Nutter; three brothers, Joseph H. Chapman of Parkersburg, James Harold Chapman of Washington, D.C., and Doane Chapman of San Antonio, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. Alma Daggs of Charleston; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Vaughan funeral Home after 7 p.m. today and until noon Monday when the body will be taken to the church to lie in state.
