Jimmie G. Zacek passed away Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010, at a Fort Worth hospital. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Burial: will follow in Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. He was born April 28, 1920, in the John T. White community of Tarrant County to Czech-Moravian immigrants Frank and Frances Zacek. He served in the 8th Air Force in World War II and was dairyman and custom hay-baler. Survivors: His nieces, Elizabeth Dodson, Shirley Mix (Leonard), Mary Frances Burroughs and Amy Davis (Wade); nephews, Charles Zacek, Richard Zacek (Melana), Leonard Zacek (Betty), and Jason Seay (Jacque); stepchildren, Daniel Moore (Brenda), Darla Gallant (Johnny), Diana Hukil (Johnny), and Darrin Moore; great-nephews, Bryan Dodson and Dawn Dodson; his special caregiver; and many more family and friends.
