L. Annabelle (Ann) Koenig, age 73, of Colorado Springs, passed away on October 7, 2010 in her home. Ann was born on February 8, 1937 in Seibert, Colorado to John and Geneva Oliver.
She graduated from Seibert High School in 1955. Ann lived in Colorado Springs since 1956. She worked for both locations of the Grand Café for over twenty years and then worked for SCI until she retired. While retired, she worked part-time at the Colorado Springs Flea Market.
Ann greatly enjoyed cheering on the Colorado Rockies and Denver Nuggets, playing bingo, going to church, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered as a caring woman who loved the mountains, had a strong faith, and was loved by all who knew her.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents John and Geneva Oliver, a baby brother, and her husband James Koenig. She is survived by her siblings Betty Jones, Donna Atkinson (Clarence), Maxine Corcoran, Colleen Cooper (Ira), Bill Oliver (Judi), Geraldine Preston (Gene), and Sheila Deucker; by her daughter Rhonda Hoyle (Mike), son Randy Steinke, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation and memorial service will be held at Memorial Gardens, 3825 Airport Road; Colorado Springs, CO 80910. Visitation will be held on October 13, 2010 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. and services on October 14, 2010 at 10:00 a.m.
