Funeral services for Henry K. Reutlinger were held from the Church of Christ at Freedom Sunday at 2 PM.
Henry Kanrod Reutlinger was born in Zürich, Switzerland, December 21, 1878, the son of Henry and Emma Reutlinger.
He came to America in October 1898 and lived with his brother at Medicine Lodge, Kansas.
In 1902 he came to Oklahoma and filed on a claim near Freedom. His holdings have increased since until his ranch is now 2600 acres.
He was united in marriage to Hilda N. Eckert, February 24, 1903. To them were born seven children, the oldest preceding him in death when five years of age, also his father and mother of Switzerland and his brother of Medicine Lodge, Kansas.
He departed his life June 12, 1931 at the age of 52 years, five months and 21 days. He leaves six children, three grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters to mourn his death. The children, Theodore K., Edith O., Willie H., George F., Viola E., Emma and Alice Reutlinger Seivert, all live at Freedom.
His brothers, Amiel and Alfred and a sister, Marie live in Switzerland and another sister, Betty Potz lives in Germany.
He was confirmed in the Zwinglian church when an infant in Switzerland.
Funeral services were conducted at the Church of Christ in Freedom, Rev. Daniel W. Fielder, pastor, was in charge of the services. Burial arrangements were made by the Fowitz Mortuary and interment was in the Freedom Cemetery.
