Born on December 7, 1946 in Royston GA, He was the son of the late Fred E. Cleveland and Beatrice Sanders Cleveland. He was a former manager of Bell's Food Store, Hartwell, a Mason and a member of the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church.
Survivors include his former wife, Patricia Ann Cleveland of Hartwell; a son, James Cleveland of Hartwell; two sisters, Shelia Carruth of Hartwell and Mary Byrum of Anderson SC; three brothers, Albert Cleveland, Ray Cleveland and Johnny Cleveland all of Kannapolis NC. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Francis Cleveland, Julian Cleveland, Earl Cleveland and Bill Cleveland and a sister, Audrey Rowland.
Memorial services will be Tuesday, October 12 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Johnny Stowe and Mr. Fred Greenway officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. The family will be at their respective homes. The family requests no flowers, memorials may be made to defray funeral expenses.
