Mrs. Marion (June) Powers, 71, of 2341 S. Fourth St. died at 12:40 a.m. Sunday at St. John's Hospital. She was born in Buffalo, the daughter of Charles and Edna Grace (Barbre) Bell. Her husband, John, died in 1976 and two sons, John and Peter Powers, also preceded her in death. Mrs. Powers was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Church. Surviving are three sons, James (Patricia) Powers of St. Augustine, Fla., Tyrone (Misako) Powers of Jacksonville, N.C., and Tom (Sherry) Powers of Springfield; three daughters, Mrs. Jackie (Don) Southard of Taylorville, Mrs. Peggy (Art) Carvalho of Somerset, Mass., and Mrs. Judy (Jim) Monahan of Springfield; three sisters, Miss Dorothy Bell, Mrs. Alice Frasco and Mrs. Louise Crouse, all of Springfield; one brother, Dean Bell of Chatham; 23 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Chester Fabisiak, SJ, officiating. Burial will be in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
