Cpt. John Wesley Forrester, "Rutland Grays", Company B, 27th Georgia Infantry. Forrester enlisted as a Sergeant in 1862 and eventually became Captain. He was noted for gallantry during the Battle of Ocean Pond, Florida on 20 February 1864. As with most soldiers he suffered some absence due to illness during the war. He was wounded some time in 1864 and was absent wounded for almost the remainder of the war, but was present at the end and surrendered in 1865 in North Carolina.
