Special music was furnished by Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Nelson, who sang a duet; Mrs. C. W. Michaelson also sang a solo; Mrs. Amos Michaelson alike sang a solo, and in conclusion a trio was rendered by Mrs. C. W. Michaelson, Joe Jacobson and Omar Michaelson.
Among those from a distance who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Bever Warburg and son Orville and Tom Warburg and daughters and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Warberg, all of Maddock, North Dakota; also Mr. and Mrs. Sam Klick and Mrs. M. Heyerdahl's brother and sister of Independence, Wisconsin.
Melvin Christopher Heyerdahl was born at the farm home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Erik Heyerdahl, in Bartley Township, April 22, 1889. He was baptized and confirmed in the Eidfjord Lutheran Church by Rev. P. A. Thoreson. He was a member of Eidfjord congregation at the time of his death.
After his marriage, August 10, 1919, he and his wife have resided on a farm in Lake Township, Barnes County, where he passed away Saturday evening, June 13, 1931.
Melvin Heyerdahl leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, Gertrude Heyerdahl; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Erik Heyerdahl; two brothers, Carl of Walum and Gilbert of St. Paul; one sister, Mrs. Omar Michaelson and many other relatives.
