Sudden Death of Prosperous Bennington Farmer Tuesday Afternoon

Edwin F. Stratton, one of Bennington's prosperous farmers, died suddenly Tuesday afternoon at his home on the Shaftsbury road. He was apparently in his usual good health during the day but complained of a headache a few minutes before he passed away.

Mr. Stratton, who was in his 69th year. Was born in the house where he died, the son of Freeman Stratton and Thankful Harrington. With the exception of a few years in Wilmington, he had passed his entire life on the home farm.

The survivors are a wife, two sisters, Mrs. Solomon Howard and Mrs. Jared Howard of Bennington and a brother living in Wisconsin.

The funeral will be held from the chapel Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'-clock and the burial will be in the chapel cemetery. Rev. P.L. Dow, pastor of the Methodist church will officiate.
