Antoinette "Toni" M. (Chariton) Koehler, 67, Fargo, ND, died Monday, March 12, 2007, in her home.

Antoinette M. Chariton was born November 1, 1939 in St. Paul, MN, the daughter of Anthony and Dorothy (Lemmon) Chariton. She grew up in St. Paul and graduated from Johnson High School in St. Paul.

She was united in marriage to Martin Koehler on September 7, 1957 in St. Paul. They lived there until moving to Perham in 1960. They moved to Minneapolis, MN in 1962, then to Minnetonka, MN. She attended St. Mary's Junior College in the Twin Cities and received her nursing degree. She worked at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Minneapolis, MN until 1981 when she retired for health reasons. They moved to a farm near Grygla, MN in 1987. She worked for Warroad Health Center in Warroad, MN for 2 years, and has lived in the Fargo Moorhead area since 2001. Martin died September 28, 2004.

She served as president of the National Federation for the Blind and was a member of the board of directors of Blind Inc., Minneapolis, MN.

She is survived by two sons, Brian (Zenida), Andover, MN and Doug (Sharon), Jordan, MN; two daughters, Dawn (Jim) Larson, Fargo, ND and Brenda Kukowski, Fargo, ND; 15 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; 1 brother, Greg (Dawn) Lemmon, Hudson, Wisconsin; three sisters, Dottie Ann (Morris) Chamberlain, Charlotte (LeRoy) Allen, and Jeannie Evans, all Hastings, MN.

Visitation: 1-2 p.m. - Saturday, March 17, 2007 in the church

Funeral: 2:00 p.m. ~ Saturday, March 17, 2007, St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Moorhead, MN

Burial: Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN
