John F. Ash, 84, of 435 1/2 E. McKibbn, died at 12:50 p.m. Friday in the Springfield Community Hospital, Springfield.
Born in Forest, July 8, 1883, he was the son of Gattlieb and Louisa Schoenberger Ash.
He was a retired Forest coal and grain dealer, and was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Gomley Club and Borrowed Time Club.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Edwin E. Ash of Springfield; and a grandson, Dennis David Ash of Cleveland.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Lewis Memorial Chapel of Chiles and Sons - Laman Funeral Home, Rev. Richard Vitz officiating, with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
Friends may call at the funeral home after noon today.
