Mr. Nuernberger was born in Illinois on April 28, 1880. The family moved to Nebraska in 1895 settling in Wayne County. On June 29, 1904 he was united in marriage to Anna Ruff at Scribner. They were blessed with a family of five children.
Since 1918 Mr. Nuernberger lived and farmed in Greeley County.
Preceding him in death were his wife and one daughter, Meta Maxwell. He was the last of a family of seven.
Left to mourn his death are his sons, Carl H. and Glenn of Cedar Rapids, and Orlin of Barrington, Illinois; one daughter, Louise Teply of Greeley; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
