Mrs. Marie M. Land, aged forty-one, died in Ashville, North Carolina. Friday, June 28, where she had been taken for treatment. Mrs. Land had been ill for many months but recently had shown much improvement and stood the trip to Carolina with her husband quite well.
Beside her husband, Rufus A. Land, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Dixie Marbury of Arkadelphia; her parents, Dr. and Mrs. W. O. Tibbels of Cave City; two brothers, W. O. Tribbels, Jr. of Russellville and B. F. Tribbels of California.
Services were held at the First Baptist Church on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. V. A. Rose. Burial was in Pine Crest Memorial Park by the Sims Funeral Home.
