ANDREW MAE THOMAS, 79, entered the Gates of Heaven October 5, 2007. Ma' Dear fought a brave battle against diabetes for over 20 years. She loved the Lord, her family and friends. She was a devoted member of McLean Baptist Church were she taught Sunday school after retiring from Memphis City Schools of 30 years, a loyal and dedicated teacher at South Side High school. She was the daughter of the late Tom Green and Bertha Ramey Green. She is survived by her two sisters, Elnora Dotstry and Sadie Cobbs of Chicago, IL. She leaves to mourn her beloved daughter, Janice Thomas Conner and two grandchildren, Crystal Conner Jackson and Andre'w Williams and her two great-grandchildren Terrance and Miles Jackson; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday October 12, at funeral home. Services will be at McLean Baptist Church Saturday, October 13, at 10 a.m. Entombment will be in New Park Cemetery South, Memphis.
