Anthony and Margaret married
on 11 August 1794 in the English Cathedral
at Quebec City, Quebec.
They were the parents of;
Caroline Jeffreys [1795-1796],
Caroline Jane, Margaret Jeffreys.

1812: During the war of 1812, Anthony was appointed as Quarter Master to the Quebec Light Cavalry. He supplied provisions to several military and naval units and sold horses to the cavalry.
1815: Anthony's marine store was destroyed by the Great Quebec Fire of 1815 which destroyed most of the old city of Quebec.
1822: Anthony was appointed Captain in the Division of Militia at Beauport in Quebec.

Anthony emigrated about 1784 with James Black, who was a friend since early childhood in Jedburgh. Anthony set up business as a butcher and quickly achieved a degree of success which permitted him to expand into the promotion of land settlement, marine supplies, the breeding of prize cattle, and, the construction of a fine home known as Hedley Lodge [named for his mother's maiden name]. From 1828 onward his public offices included that of Justice of the Peace for Quebec City, also as Member of the Legislative Assembly for Megantic County in 1832. He also served as a Director of the Quebec Savings Office and was a leader of the Agricultural Society.
Son of William ANDERSON and Jane HEDLEY.
William and Jane resided at Jedburgh in Scotland where he was an inn-keeper.
He moved to Redwater in the County of Northumberland, England where he resided until his death in early 1803.
