He is survived by his mother, Martha (Donald) Hays; father, Lee Heiser; son, Daniel (Melissa) Heiser; grandsons, Julian and Isaiah Heiser; sister, Kathrine (Geoff) Longden; and his brothers, Michael McCarty and Mark (Carrie) Geason. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Kurt was a welder and an ICC EMT.
He enjoyed guns, fishing and boating. He was an avid motorcyclist, and he became an ordained minister in 2009.
