Cora was born in Lexington County SC. When she married on Oct. 30, 1901 she moved to her husband's farm near North, SC. There she raised her four children, George, Alice, Sam and Maggie. After her husband died she moved to Greenville, SC where she was cared for by her children until her death. She was burried with her husband at the Bull Swamp Baptist Church in North, where she attended most of her adult life. As a child she attended Sandy Run Baptist Church in Gaston, SC (renamed: Gaston First Baptist Church )
