BLISSFIELD, Mich. —
Barbara Lee Goddyn, 75, of Blissfield died at her home on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010. She was born on May 8, 1935, in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Clair and Constance (Gorney) Howard. On March 26, 1952, Barbara was united in marriage to Armand F. Goddyn in Monroe.
Barbara was employed by Blissfield Community Schools as a bus driver for 32 years, retiring in 1994. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Ottawa Lake. Her favorite pastimes included playing cards, especially bridge, with friends and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Armand F. Goddyn, of Blissfield; two sons, Armand (Jan) Goddyn of White Cloud, Mich., and Michael (Deanna) Goddyn of Blissfield; a daughter, Brenda (Bill) Evans of Adrian; three grandchildren, Heather (Forrest) Couch, Daniel (Jen) Goddyn and Kodi (Ben) Bone; and four great-grandchildren. (Also a sister Mrs. Sharon Watson, and a brother Clair Howard (Ann) of Monroe. Step Sisters; Mrs. Nancy Moore, Mrs. Marilyn Mowery, and Mrs. Beverly Atherton; Step Brothers: Walter and Donald Stucker). Barbara was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral 0services to celebrate the life of Barbara L. Goddyn will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at the Wagley Funeral Home, Tagsold Chapel in Blissfield, with Pastor Paul Benjamin officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery in Blissfield. Visitation will take place on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home in Blissfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Lenawee. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be made online at www.wagleyfuneralhome.com.
