Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Morrill, for Robert Fussy Sr., 83, 9188-125th St. NE, who died Saturday at St. Cloud Hospital.

Burial will be in the parish cemetery with military honors provided by Gilman VFW Post 1558.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Foley Funeral Home and one hour before services Tuesday at the church in Morrill. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 tonight at the funeral home in Foley.

Robert Fussy Sr. was born in Morrill Township, rural Morrison County, to Frank and Gertrude (Schyma) Fussy. He married Marie Bauer in November 1941 in St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She died on Aug. 2, 1976. He married Hilda (Krein) Hansen on Aug. 3, 1984, in St. Cloud. He lived and farmed all his life in the Morrill area. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II from 1942 to 1945 and was in the Reconnaisance Co. 704 Tank Destroyer Battalion.

He was a past member of Morrill School Board, District 1192, and a life member of Gilman VFW Post 1558. He was awarded a certificate of achievement for his work in the Department of Horational Agriculture. He also was a life member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, where he was an usher for many years.

Survivors include his wife; sons and daughters, Jerry and Donald of Foley, Jim and Robert Jr. of Pierz, Tom of Rice, Harvey of Becker, Elaine Batcha of Holdingford, Judy Wirth of Hillman, Lynette of Blaine, and Audrey Christensen and Peggy Nyberg of Elk River; stepsons, Jon Hansen of New Hope, Gary Hansen of Shorewood, Ron Hansen of Shoreview, and Bob Hansen of Plymouth; 24 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Roman, Clarence and Lawrence of Minneapolis, Art of Foley, Alfred of Oak Park, Richard of Cross Lake, Mary Spiczka of New Brighton, Delores Dudek of St. Cloud, and Gertie Leason of Portland, Ore.

He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Joe, Frank Jr., Jerome, Bill, Clara Labelle and Irene Yatchoske; and stepson, William Hansen.
