James Reynolds Anthony, aged 72 years, who suffered a stroke while returning from a motor trip to points in Forest county about two weeks ago, died at 1 o'clock yesterday morning at the home of his son John Anthony, near Pleasantville. He was born in Jefferson County August 16, 1859 and his wife, formerly Miss Jennie Confer, died 32 years ago. Besides the son at whose home he passed away, he leaves two sons, James Anthony residing near Pleasantville, Bert Anthony of Pleasantville and a daughter, Mrs. Mabel Westfall of Titusville. There is also one brother William Anthony of Corsica, PA., and two sisters, Mrs. James Payne of Sigel and Mrs. Delbert Lowers of Brookville. The body was prepared for interment at the W. J. Arnold mortuary where funeral services will be conducted Saturday ath 10:30 a.m. with Rev. L. E. Elbel officiating. Interment at Sigel in afternoon. He was a member of the M.E. church and the Grange.
