Delia Crawford married first John W. Ashworth in Lincoln County, TN on 18 Jan 1868. They had three children: John Edward, Talitah Elizabeth, and Clark. John died in 1878 as did their daughter, possibly of cholera.

Delia married second Pleasant Snoddy on 2 Oct 1879 also in Lincoln County, TN. Their children were Maggie, Anna, Henry, Jessie and Alma.

At the time of her death Delia was living on Smithland Road in Kelso. The census listed her as widow and son Henry farmed the home place there. No cause of death was noted as she died unattended. The death certificate also stated that Delia was buried in the Snoddy family cemetery but there is no marker with her name. Most graves are marked by fieldstones worn down by time and weather.

When researching it should be noted the "A" was dropped from her first name early on. References in public records list her as "Delia". The information provided on the death certificate by her son Henry stated her father was Blake Crawford and mother Delia Blackie. Census documentation of 1860 noted father J.S. and mother Francis Crawford.

From contributor Vickey Crawford: The information noted about the 1860 census is incorrect. The correct census record can be located by looking for Henry Handerson (Henderson) of Lincoln County, TN who married Sarah Blake Crawford in 1858. The Crawford children are on this census but are listed with the last name Handerson..
