BOGUE CHITTO - J. C. Burns, 80, of Bogue Chitto, died Feb. 20, 1992, at King's Daughters Hospital in Brookhaven.
Funeral services were at 3 p.m. today at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Brookhaven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Burns was born August 11, 1911, in Lincoln County. He was the son of the late Arthur Lee Burns and Lizzie Boyte Burns.
He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, EmmaTemple Burns of Bogue Chitto; one brother, Jimmy Burns of Bogue Chitto; four daughters, Billie Lynn Reeves and Sharon Copeland, both of Bogue Chitto, Glenda Bessonette of Brookhaven and Penny Pierson of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Susie Green of Brookhaven; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
