Phillip was a son of Seaborn Randolph Hodges and Elizabeth Ann Hendrix, both buried in the Anderson Church Cemetery, Collins, Tattnall Co., GA; Sect. C1C.

Phillip was married first to Mary Frances Rogers, daughter of Samuel B. Rogers, Sr., and Dicy Smith Rogers, both buried in section H5 of this cemetery.

Phillip and Mary Frances had the following children:

1. Infant (son) Hodges, b. 15 Sep 1884; d. 20 Oct 1884, buried in section H5 of this cemetery.

2. Lennie Arcennie Hodges, b. 18 May 1886; d. 29 Jun 1969; married to Dempsey Marvin Strickland, both buried in section H5 of this cemetery, as Lennie Hodges Strickland and D. Marvin Strickland, respectively.

3. Susan Agnes Hodges (Brewton), b. 18 Feb 1888
4. Rossie Hodges (DeLoach), b. 1892; d. 1983
5. Nellie Hodges (Dyess), b. 1896; d. 1975
6. Birdie Hodges (Parker), b. 1897; d. 1978
7. Tommie Dewey Hodges, b. 1897; d. 1973

Phillip then married Emma CLANTON, d/o John Daniel Clanton and Ellen Ophelia Strickland. Ellen is buried in the Little Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Bryan Co., GA. Ellen was John Daniel's second wife.

Phillip and Emma had the following children:

1. Inez Hodges (Hollingsworth), b. 1904; d. 1999
2. Percy J. Hodges, b. 09 Nov 1908; d. 18 Sep 1946, buried in section H5 by his mother.
