Virginia died on February 14, 2007 at Holzer
Senior Care in Gallipolis, Ohio. She was born
on April 25, 1921 in Henderson, WV daughter of
the late William Wamsley and the late Mollie
Smith Wamsley. She was a member of the New
Haven Womens Club.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-
law, Diana and Brett Holbrook of Paintsville,
KY; her son, Richard Abel of New Haven; her
sister Betty McDermitt of Point Pleasant, WV;
her grandson, Nathan Holbrook of Paintsville;
and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was
preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Abel,
seven brothers and two sisters.
Graveside funeral services will be held on
Friday, February 16, 2007 at 11:00am at the
Kirkland Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Larry
Luckeydoo officiating. Visiting hours will be
on Thursday from 6-8pm at the Anderson Funeral
Home in New Haven.
