Steven Neill Allhands, 51, Billings, formerly of Mt. Vernon, passed away Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, due to a heart attack.

Steven was born Dec. 6. 1958, in Monett, the son of Teddie R. and Patricia E. (Neill) Allhands. He was a 1977 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and worked as a pipe insulator.

He was a member of the Pipe Insulator's Union Local #63 in Springfield and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Vernon.

Those surviving him include: his son, Hutch Allhands, Mt. Vernon; his mother, Pat Merritt, and her husband, Freeman, Mt. Vernon; his father, Ted Allhands, Marionville; his sister, Tammy Revelle, and her husband, Rick, Springfield; a stepbrother, Fred Merritt, and his wife, Sherilyn, Mt. Vernon; six aunts, Carole Garoutte and her husband, Bob, and Sherry Estes, and her husband, David, all of Mt. Vernon, Brenda Clayton and her husband, Jim, and Gloria Murphy, all of Billings, Dixie Clark, Republic, and Rosemary Melton, Springfield; five uncles, LaVerne Allhands and his wife, Donna, Springfield, Max Allhands and his wife, Joyce, Houston, Texas, Larry Allhands and his wife, Suzanne, Battlefield, Bob Brock and his wife, Barbara, Billings, and Bud Allhands and his wife, Linda, Marionville; four grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, at Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, with burial following in the Marionville IOOF Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Mt.Vernon, in care of the funeral home
