Obituary:
Mr. Elliott Sidney Gresham, age 94, of Rome, passed away Friday Oct. 15th in a Rome Medical Center.

Mr. Gresham was born October 2,1916,in Floyd County, a son of the late Elliott Vincent Gresham and Lillie May Cozier Gresham. He was a member of Desoto Park Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. Mr. Gresham was retired from Southern Rail Road as a Signal Man after many years of service. He enjoyed Golfing, Bowling and was a Golden Glove Boxer. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bomer Elizabeth Loveless Gresham, sons, Elliott Sidney Gresham, Jr., Charles Marcus Gresham, brothers, William, Dudley, Bob and Roy Gresham, sisters, Mary Jean Mitchell, and Dorothy Howren.

Survivors include his wife, Annice Elizabeth Cook Gresham, to whom he was married December 1,1993,a daughter and her husband, Martha and Gene Hammond, Lindale, sons and their wives, James Larry and Edna Gresham, Panama City, FL., Ronald Loveless and Ida Gresham, Fayetteville, NC, a brother and his wife, Harold and Melinda Gresham, Albany, Ga. Grandchildren, Greg Hammond, Sidney Gresham III, Mark Gresham, Jr.,Robin Shumate, Christie Gray, and Ronald Gresham II, great grandchildren, Julia Shumate, Kaleigh Shumate, Annlyn Gray, Payton Gray, Shane Hammond, and Shelly Hammond. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday Oct. 19th at Parnick Jennings, Sr's Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Scott Lambert and Parnick Jennings, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of Bush Arbor Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 (Noon) until funeral hour Tuesday at Good Shepherd Funeral.

Pallbearers include the following gentlemen and are ask to meet at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Ronald Gresham II, Greg Hammonds, Shane Hammonds, Sidney Gresham III.
