Born March 20, 1911, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Oscar Albert and Otilla (McClintock) Brown. He was a plant supervisor for Brunner Engineering and Manufacturing Company and was a member of Fairview Community Church.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Elizabeth (Barnett) Brown; four daughters: Mrs. Bill (Jeanette) Kern, Bedford, Mrs. Lawrence (Gayle) Gilstrap, Heltonville, Mrs. Raymond (Fay) Pate, Pinhook, Mrs. Frank (Carol) Moore, Bedford; one son, Harley D. Brown of Bedford; one sister, Edna Hanners, Mitchell; two brothers: Frank Brown of Medora, and Wilford Brown of Leesville; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Fisher officiating. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Leesville Cemetery.
