MILLER Brett L., 63, of Oklahoma City passed away March 13, 1990. Memorial services will be 11am, Thursday at Our Lord's Community Church 11400 N. Portland, Oklahoma City. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Barbara; son and daughter-in-law, Les and Suzie Miller; daughter, Sharon Miller; 2 brothers, Dr. Bruce Miller of Topeka, KS, Roger Miller of Rancho Santa Fe, CA; 3 sisters, Mary Christensen of Tulsa, Amy Lou Bulls of Port Arthur, TX, Jean-Anne Beattie of San Diego, CA; 4 grandchildren, Jordan, Jaimie, Jeffrey and Lauren; 22 nieces and nephews.
Mr. Miller was born in Wichita Falls, TX, where he was an Eagle Scout, and graduated from Washburn University in Topeka, KS, he was a life member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He was a Navy veteran of WW II, and past president of the OKC Stamp Club. He had a long association with SPEBSQSA, an International Singing Society in which he was a member of the District Champion Quartet.
Mr. Miller was past president "SQUARE NOTS" Square Dance Club and a current member of the "Silver Spur Club." He had served 3 years as a volunteer with "CONTACT CRISIS CENTER" of Oklahoma City and had a long standing affiliation with the YMCA. He retired in 1987 from Southwestern Bell as the District Director of Building and Planning after 36 years service. He was a member of Our Lord's Community Church and was active in their choir.
