Bradbury history hand written by Nadine E. [Brown] Stemmons (1919-  )  in 1989-1990:
  Alpharetta Bradbury born 27 June 1887 in Jasper co., Missouri to Jacob Nathaniel and Alice [Mitchell] Bradbury.
   She married Homer Allin Brown a son of Burgen H. and Martha Jane Brown of the Maple Grove, Missouri community, 23 March 1910 at the Bradbury home.
    Alpharetta known as "Alpha" received her education at Deer Creek rural School near her home and also took some advanced schooling there.
    After Homer's death, Alpha decided she couldn't take care of the farm, she sold it and moved to Carthage and rented a house at 1216 Grand Ave.
    Later the daughter, Nadine and her husband built a house in Jasper, Missouri in 1967 and Alpha moved there and made her home with them. 
She took part in the local church and club activities and that, together with helping with home duties and sewing, keeps her occupied.
   Alpha had heart problem and had a light stroke causing her death 7 April 1978 at the Lamar Borton County Hospital, Lamar, Missouri and buried beside her husband in Fasken Cemetery. 
The son Harlin Allin lived only 4 days and buried in the Fasken Cemetery.
