Daughter of Vallorus W. Willson & Charlotte E. Foote, born in Potsdam, NY. Married her 2nd cousin Lewis Alton Foote July 6, 1882 at the home of her parents in Potsdam. She had two sons, Orson Merrill and Fred Willson, both born after they moved to Kimball, SD. Where her husband had served two terms as Senator. They migrated to Sioux City, IA where they lived for most their life. She moved to Des Moines, IA after the death of her husband in 1932. She lived there with her son and then granddaughter, Chartelle. She was healthy and full of life until she did not awake from a nights sleep at age 95. She is survived by her son Orson Merrill and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
