On May 23, 1886 at the Village of Suffern, NY, William m. Emma Craft, dau. of Henry Craft, Sr. and Dorothea Rehling, b. Mar. 27, 1863 at Suffern, NY. She d. June 5, 1936 at Sylvatus, VA. Both are interred at a family plot at Mount Peace Cemetery at Philadelphia, Penn., but neither have a gravestone.
Soon after marriage, William moved to Philadelphia, Penn. where he was involved in the lumber business. In the early 1920s he relocated to the small town of Sylvatus, in southern Virginia, where he built a home and continued in the lumber business, shipping hardwood lumber by rail back to Philadelphia.
William Stanley Blauvelt and Emma Craft had four children b. in Philadelphia, but only two survived beyond infancy to marry.
• i. Helen Craft Blauvelt, b. Mar. 31, 1887, was living in Apr. 1930 in Philadelphia; m. May 1, 1909 in Philadelphia, Arthur John Schneider, s. of George N. and Elizabeth Schneider, b. Mar. 14, 1884 in Hazelton, Penn. He d. Nov. 5, 1938 in Philadelphia. Three children: a stillborn dau. and two sons who married and had families.
• ii. Ethel Levenia Blauvelt, b. Sept. 14, 1888, d. in infancy May 5, 1889.
• iii. Levenia Dorothea Blauvelt, b. Nov 19, 1896, d. in infancy Nov. 14, 1898.
• iv. Ralph Eugene Blauvelt, b. July 1, 1900, d. Feb. 1, 1973 in Wynnewood, Penn.; m. Sept. 9, 1920 at the Tioga Presby. Chh. in Philadelphia, Dorothy Heath Prickitt, dau. of Alvan M. Prickitt and Eleanor "Ellie" Cordelia Heath, b. Dec. 8, 1899 in Philadelphia. She d. Jan. 3, 1991 in Franklin, NC. They had one child, s. John Garrett "Gary" Blauvelt.
