Thursday, December 9, 2004 at her residence. Mrs. Rhoads was born in San
Antonio, TX and was a homemaker and a former Hostess at the Carolinian Hotel.
She was a graduate of Poplar Branch High School, a member of Kitty Hawk United
Methodist Church and a member of Deo Volente (The Gulls).
She was the daughter of the late Fernando Elijah and Cynthia Pugh Hayman Aguirre
and the widow of the late Clarence Albert "Dusty" Rhoads. She was also preceded
in death by a daughter, Rosalyn Maggio.
Mrs. Rhoads is survived by four daughters, Cynthia Anne Meeke of Dade City, FL,
Mary Louise Vitucci of St. Petersburg, FL, Lucetta Lea of Tampa, FL and Kitty
Hawk, NC, Dorothy Cheshire of Lakeland, FL; a son, Clarence A. "Dusty" Rhoads,
III of Kitty Hawk, NC; a brother, Charles H. Aguirre of Georgia; fourteen
Grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church on
Tuesday, December 14, 2004 at 11:00 am with Rev. Richard Stone officiating.
Burial will be in the Baum Cemetery, Kitty Hawk. The family will receive friends
at Twiford's Funeral Home, Manteo on Monday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
Twiford's Colony Chapel, Manteo is assisting the family with arrangements.
