Beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend, Cherill A. Acord, 55, died November 9, 1996 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was born September 11, 1941 to O. Thayne and Lorraine Acord in Salt Lake City. She graduated from Granger High School and married LeRoy M. Shields. Previously employed at Cherill's Apparel, Granger Builder's Supply and Century Laundry.She is survived by son, James Acord; step son, Jason Shields; sisters, Judith A. Anthony and Noreen (Ron) Wheeler; brothers, Bill (Marlynn) Acord, Dean (Lorraine) Acord; also several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents and husband, Roy.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 12, 1996 at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday, November 11, at the Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South and one hour prior to service on Tuesday.
