Staff Sgt. Joseph L. Venus, 30, died Friday, July 6, 2001. He was a former resident of Oak Creek, WI and a 1989 graduate of Oak Creek High School.
A native of Phoenix, AZ. he had been a Peninsula resident for three years, coming from Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio.
He worked as a lab tech with the 1st Medical Group, Langley Air Force Base, prior to cross training to the 82nd Computer Systems Squadron as a command web team administrator. He was a member of the Newport News Rugby Club and attended the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.
Joseph loved life and through his death gave life to others through organ donation.
Joe tragically died in an auto accident. He is loved and missed by many.
