Robert J. Gaffney, 68, of Attica, passed away at the Mt. Morris Sanatorium, Saturday, Oct. 24th, after a long illness.
Besides his mother and wife, the former Mary Sherman, he is survived by three daughters, Patricia and Gertrude, both at home, and Mrs. George Badger of Buffalo; four sons, John S. and Joseph E. at home, James W. of Lockport, Ill. and Robert F. of Toole, Utah; a brother, Francis J. Gaffney; two sisters, Mrs. Charles J. Cromwell and Mrs. Thomas F. Hogan, both of Buffalo and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in the home on Batchelder Highway, at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning, Oct. 28th, and at St. Vincent's Church at 9:30 with burial in St. Vincent's cemetery.
Mr. Gaffney was a cousin of Mrs. Walter Nugent, Mrs. John O'Brien and Thomas Reilly, all of Silver Springs.
