A granddaughter of Judge Henry St. George Tucker and Evelina Tucker Brooke of Winchester. Daughter of Henry Brooke and Virginia Tucker Brooke. She was the eldest child and twenty-two years older than her youngest sibling, Laura Beverly Brooke. Evelina married Judge Daniel B. Lucas.
