He was born July 4, 1864, in the Town of Lamartine, Fond du Lac County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Bowe. On Oct. 9, 1888, he was married to Elmina Luffman. Mr. Bowe was a farmer for many years in the town of Chilton and following his retirement 24 years ago he moved to Chilton. He served as treasurer for the Brant School, near Chilton, for several years.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. George Winkler and Miss Leona Bowe, both of Chilton; one son, Jerome, Town of Chilton; one niece, who Mr. and Mrs. Bowe had raised with their children, Mrs. Leo (Maude) Breckheimer, Town of Stockbridge; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. His wife passed away on Dec. 1, 1936. One son, a daughter, six brothers and one sister also preceded him in death.
