MYRTLE BEACH — Dr. David Owen Anderson Sr., 44, lived to meet his Savior in Heaven Sunday, November 14, 2004 at his home in Myrtle Beach.
David was born January 29, 1960, at Myrtle Beach a son of Charlotte Emaline Shelley Anderson and the late Lacy Woodrow Anderson.
He graduated from Myrtle Beach High School and then received a B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of S.C. He earned a Master's Degree in Education from USC, his Master's in Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Christian Ministry from Southern Baptist School for Biblical Studies.
David served as pastor to the following churches: Jonesboro Heights Baptist Church, Sanford, NC; First Baptist Church, Manning, SC; First Baptist Church, Elizabeth City, NC; First Baptist Church, Four Oaks, NC; and Calvary Baptist Church, Raleigh, NC.
Surviving are; his wife, Wendy Bellamy Anderson; his three sons, David Jr., Zachary, and Jacob; his mother of Murrells Inlet; one brother, Daniel W. Anderson and wife Dalys, of Marietta, GA; his two sisters, Elizabeth J. Jones and husband Terry of Oviedo, FL, and Brenda Joye Anderson of Murrells Inlet, SC.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 19, 2004 at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church, Myrtle Beach. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Anderson Children's Education Fund, C/O Wachovia Bank, 119 North Horner Blvd, Sanford, NC 27330.
