She wrote book about her life. In book she stated dad was born in TN near VA. That he was orphaned by aged 8 & raised by others. He married 4 times. With his first wife he had 9 children. When they divorced he took sons w/ him & left daughters w/ her. With his second wife - Jeanette's mom - he had 5 children. She talks about her infant bro who died. She talks about her younger bros growing up. She never once mentions her slightly younger full sister Catherine `Cass` Cerelda McCarty Newcomb. When her parents divorced he kept all living children with him so she never saw her mom again. With her dad's next wife, a step-mom she loved possibly more-so then her own mom, he had 3 more children including another infant who died & 2 brothers she mentions a few times. With her dad's last wife he had one known daughter. Wife had son from previous marriage who ended up marrying one of Cass's offspring. And they have another girl living w/ them in a census. But we don't know who she comes from or why she's there with them.
